The Poppy Blanket

Remembrance Day isn’t just, of course, only one day. The reality of war and the effect it has on those who experience it one way or another is present all the time.
That’s why it was very moving to see the quietly powerful and poetic tribute to those who know about sacrifice and selflessness this week at the Manitoba Legislature.

The Poppy Blanket is made up of over 8000 poppies, each one representing a service member past or present. More information on this initiative can be found at www.poppyblanket.ca
